Wow, looks like I have a reread to do...
For some reason, I only remember how tragic
and down right scary the story was.

Straight A's. There exists no better Bachman story than this one. It's one of King's best works too.

I loved this book.
This is one of the few stories (of any author) that actually reminded me of my childhood.
The hanging out with friends, walking around the neighborhood during the summer talking about anything and everything. We'd sneak out some nights and walk to other neighborhoods to meet other friends.
Was a fun time.

I felt bad that I gave it a B for ending. Primarily b/c I can't name WHY I didn't like the ending...it just felt like such a let down. But maybe (in retrospect) it was supposed to. Like after all that walking, the prize didn't mean as much as one would have thought. I'd love to hear from others who gave it a B for ending to see what they think.

Definitely my favorite of the Bachman books, though!

All A's. I love, love, love this story, particularly because King really gets into the characters.

Damn, too late to vote.

I loved this story but it took me so long to finish! I really felt the agony of the characters and so I couldn't read it for too long at a time, seriously it was painful to read.

All A's. The best Bachman book and one of King's best.
