Gave this one straight A's, which kind of surprised me. The A for character development was easy because I think Arnie was one of the most well crafted characters in the Kingverse, and his evolution throughout the novel was simply amazing.

On the other things, I was going to give them B's, but I could not find any faults...so they got A's.

I wish there was such a category as "overall impression". I mean, Christine was flawless - to my taste - while Desperation or, say, Duma Key are not; still, they hit the reader harder, and the impact is more lasting... speaking only of bears now, of course... Likewise, The Dark Tower is a conglomerate of blunders and fuckups, but there are few - if any - novels of bigger imortance and brilliance.

Well, Jean, we voted on "overall impression" in the first round, didn't we?

well, yes... yes... still... I mean, if we take them apart and study the details, Misery will prove the best, because it is a perfection in every respect, and It or The Stand might lag behind, with their many inconsistencies and controversies... I don't think it can be avoided, though, just lamenting
