i just re read the revised version of the gun slinger while i was away. I also got hubbie to read this for the first time and we are going to read the series together for the summer

i had forgotten how much i loved this book and also how much roland changes through out the series, some of his thoughts and actions are just so different from the thoughts and actions he comes to later on

it was also stange discussing this with a newbie, mr c had thoughts this the rolands world is the after life and that they are all dead. he even carried this thought in his head after we finished reading the book. what i am finding really difficult is to not tell him any spoilers so i am just not saying anything at all

I also am finding the little clues placed in this book about what occurs later on really fantastic. I want to track down the unrevised version now ( i read it years ago and lost in one of my many home moves) i want to see what was changed and what was added to see if i remember correctly.
