hesitating between 2 and 1...
Wow. I didn't think we'd disagree that much. I really enjoyed this one and give it a 4, but I wonder how much of my opinion is biased by the knowledge that this book was the first one I ever got signed by King in person. It represents the culmination of a lifelong dream I had, and I really do think I'm biased by that. I'm still voting though.:P
I love King's collection, and this is no exception. Contains some great pieces, including The Gingerbread Girl, which is a masterpiece.

Bears and Sams disagree because they are different species. It's normal. They already agreed upon a lot in the past; and, more important, they agree on the main principle of the universe: namely, that S.King is a great writier! http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k291/mishemplushem/Facilitation/0134-bear.gifhttp://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k291/mishemplushem/Facilitation/0134-bear.gifhttp://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k291/mishemplushem/Facilitation/0134-bear.gif

Well you and I are definitely highly different species, but we seem somehow to agree remarkably often. I myself am totally hesitating between 1 and 2 on this one.
Leaning towards 2, I guess.

I gave it a five. I'm a huge fan of King's short stories and I thought this collection was great.

I gave it a 2. I just read this book within the last two months and had to go back now to see what the stories were about. All were very forgettable to me, either rehashes of themes already used, or just kind of irritating to read, my problem with most later works by King.

Big 5 here.
All the stories were different, I like the mix of horror and non-horror stories. The one about the dream really gave me goosebumps.

Too bad 0 isn't an option , or I would have given it that. Reading through this was a chore.

I gave it a 4, only because it had some really strong stories to counter against the poor stories.

Weakest of King's collections, IMO.
Not that any of them were bad, but the Gingerbread Girl and A Very Tight Place were the only one that really *grabbed* me.
