I know I'm in the minority, but this is one of my favorites from King in the last decade. I give it a 5.

I give it a three but only barely. The Stand and Dawn of the Dead didn't need to be made into a single entity.

a three, for the same reason. "The Stand" part was good, but the first half was soooooooo boring...

I don't remember a "The Stand" part. But, when I read Cell I had not yet read "The Stand". 4 from me.

The similarities with The Stand are mostly the regrouping of society after the end of the world, but more specifically the way the humans are all drawn by dreams to their destiny.

I like it. Not sure if it could have been longer or shorter.
There is some great stuff in it though, especially when they get to the college stadium.
Surprised people wanted such a definitive ending, i liked that it was open ended.

2. I was disappointed. It felt too gimmicky, relying on cell-phones as the big bad, and I feel it's a story that won't age well.
