Ooh, here's where our often concurring opinions differ, Jean. A three here. In my personal rankings I place this one just above DT4, which I rank last.

Bah. All that Calla stuff really tired me out.

Yeah, it kind of did me, too. But wondering what exactly the Wolves would be made it interesting.

Same here, it felt really stagnant at times.

5. Not my favorite of the series, but it's one of the fastest moving of them all. Well written, well paced, and I wish for all the world that the final two volumes had held up to the same level of writing that this one had.

My least favorite of the series by a wide margin, though still a four. The dialect of the Callas annoyed me.

I really enjoyed this book. I liked how Roland had to play games with the people in order to set his trap for the wolves. The Calla dialect was a bit tiring after awhile though.

Taters and gravy!

4. Great action, loved the Pere's backstory, and of course it's always nice to read more of Roland's world...but it was just a little too long, for me. Even Pere's backstory could've done with a little trimming. A little faster paced, and this would've earned a 5 from me.

I actually don't control the notices. That's Hannah's doing :panic:

loved the Pere's backstory

That's pretty much the only thing that saved this book from the bottom for me.

The dialect and whole Calla thing ruined this book for me. The whole series went right downhill from here. Would give it less then '1' if possible.

Liked it only for the 'Salem's Lot update with Callahan.

My apologies, boys! I just got a promotion and have been training my replacement nonstop for the past couple of days. I haven't had any "me time" at work until this afternoon.

4. The artwork ruined it for me. Especially "Native-American Susannah in the woods! (Legs now included!)". It was a really good book, but the artwork just couldn't catch up in terms of quality. And I'm very picky about that kindof stuff...

Totally agree. My favourite after Drawing of the Three

Excluding the Calla dialect, it's probably my favorite DT book (or up there, at least).
