I agree with Jean on this one (I think for the first time during this entire round), a solid 4.

I really enjoyed this book. It was probably the second King book I ever read. Christine being the first. ;) I just thought it was an excellent read.

Didn't like this at all. I couldn't get into it and disliked all the characters as far as I can recall.

I read it and only gave it a 3. It was alright but not nearly as riveting and compelling as other King stories I have read. There were long gaps between when I would start and stop reading sections. Usually when I get a new King book that thing is practically spot welded to my hand.

Bland.
The audiobook is read by a cast, which made the story a little better.

You really think so? Huh. I really enjoyed Buick 8, I think I almost read it from cover to cover non-stop.

Oh well, different strokes for different folks, eh? ;)

Didn't like this at all. I couldn't get into it and disliked all the characters as far as I can recall.

For me, it was the characters that made the story, much more so than the plot.
Another haunted car from SK didnt impress me much, but I really liked the troopers and the way they brought Ned into their 'family'.
I gave it a 4.

I gave it a 4.I concur 100%. Shows why SK is so much better as a novelist than as a short story writer. The basic tale in this book is really just dippy, but then he goes on and capitalizes on the situation to develop the whole setting and give us this extended drama. It's ironic, but this book is more than worth the candle.
