If it was just Low Men in Yellow Coats I'd give it 5. As is, four. An oddly structured book.

Three for me as well. It was very good in parts, worthy of a four, but in other parts in just dragged.

...An oddly structured book.Definitely. Unique among King's work. I love the whole, absolutely. 5!

I would give the title story and Low Men In Yellow Coats a 5, but the highest grade any of the other stories deserve is a 2, and even that's a stretch.

Yeah, I kind of took an average there. :D

:(

Well, I know other people than me liked "Hearts In Atlantis." Maybe none on this website, tho.

I really hope that he'll publish The House on Benefit Street.

Very close to a 5 from me. I just re-read it a few months ago. Low Men in Yellow Coats is terrific and the others are "pretty good." Works out to a 4 overall.

4 from me, really liked it. Yes, it was oddly structured, but it all worked beautifully together. Too bad the same can't be said of the movie adaptation.

3. Average. Loved Low Men in Yellow Coats, and Hearts in Atlantis, but the others almost seemed...rushed, like they were put in as afterthought. The meat was definitely in the beginning.

The story Hearts in Atlantis is probably my favorite story by him.
Heartfelt, personal and such an honest story.
This is when I started to really enjoy reading him again.
Low men was pretty good. (William Hurt is a great narrator on the audio version, he sounds so sad the whole time)
The first time I read this I read the first 2 and skipped the others to find out if Bobby comes back. When I listened to it again, I found the story about the guy in traffic to be awesome, cool stuff.
5.

If it was just Low Men in Yellow Coats I'd give it 5.

Same here. I gave it a 3 as a whole. I don't know what it was about the other stories that I couldn't get into, nothing I can put my finger on.

One of my faves. Just a beautiful book. I love how the stories interconnect with one another.
