Probably. You really should. An emphatic 5 from me. The only book to ever make me cry.

4 from me. It does have some problems, but you really should read the ending.

One of my top 5 favorite King books. It made me cry too.

I was underwhelmed by The Two Dead Girls, which I got for Easter the year it was published. My decision was to just wait until all of it was published to read it, at which time I started over again and was blown away. I'm looking forward to reading the collected version someday soon. It's a little derivative of Shawshank but I don't mind.

OMG, if I could vote 6 on this I totally would. This is one of my all-time favorites. John Coffey just breaks my heart.

5. This is one of my favorites. Jean, I voted "never read" on the only one (Rose Madder) that I didn't finish. I can't believe the mighty bear put down this book. Judging from your reading list, this one should take you what..........20 minutes to read. You should finish it Jean. It would be 20 minutes well spent.

I swear I'll try! Now that such people as you, pablo, and Irish Dawn speak so highly of it (and path gives it a full 4), I know that I must make another attempt. http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k291/mishemplushem/Facilitation/0134-bear.gif (http://s91.photobucket.com/albums/k291/mishemplushem/Facilitation/?action=view&current=0134-bear.gif)http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k291/mishemplushem/Facilitation/0134-bear.gif (http://s91.photobucket.com/albums/k291/mishemplushem/Facilitation/?action=view&current=0134-bear.gif)http://i91.photobucket.com/albums/k291/mishemplushem/Facilitation/0134-bear.gif (http://s91.photobucket.com/albums/k291/mishemplushem/Facilitation/?action=view&current=0134-bear.gif)

Well, you know your own tastes in literature better than I dear bear. But, I felt genuine empathy for John Coffey. I just loved that story.

Bought these as they came out, it was very cool that SK did this, very exciting getting a new chapter/book every month, very cool.
Not sure I would re-read it though.

Can I voted based on the movie if I've never read it?

Sweet! I will send that link to Aaron. Maybe he will buy it to me to make up for going to Vegas and leaving me alone with the kids when a huge snowstorm hit yesterday and I had to shovel a foot of snow off of our plowed in driveway while trying to watch a two-year old. My arms are ripped though! I could arm wrestle a bear!

OMG THIS THIS THIS. I simply can't say enough good things about this story. I just recently reread it and fell in love with it all over again.

Solid 4 from me. I read it in installments as it was published and recall being impatient for the next one each time so I could get further along in the story. I haven't re-read it; it's possible that in doing so, it would rate a 5. Very good story. (It was a bit derivative of Shawshank--but only a bit.)

I actually bought each installment as it came out, but only got around to reading the novel when it was published in a complete paperback edition.

I loved The Green Mile. One of the first King books I ever read. Very enjoyable!
