The Talisman #0
Signed by Robin Furth--specifically for our site

The epic saga of The Talisman debuts with Issue 0, a never-before-told prequel to the story, to be published by Del Rey Comics this Fall. The Talisman novel, originally published in 1984, is the story of a young teen named Jack Sawyer, who can save his dying mother only by retrieving a magical talisman. To find it he must cross back and forth between our world and the frightening and dangerous landscape of its “twinner” counterpart. Issue 0 explores the separate lives of Jack’s father—in our world, and the mysterious realm known as the Territories—and how evil scheming will forever change Jack’s peaceful life. The series is being adapted by Robin Furth and illustrated by Tony Shasteen. The Talisman Issue 0 will be available in comic book stores everywhere on October 21, 2009.

FYI Matt and Everyone : I just noticed this, but apparently -

This is the Black and White Comic Con Exclusive Issue.

Issue # 0 was released to retail, but this was a special edition made just for the San Diego Comic Con !!

Shameless Plug for The King Comic Catalog (http://www.thedarktower.org/palaver/showthread.php?t=8834)

It is exactly as pictured there, I wasn't sure if it was the black and white or not because it does have bit of color.

Robin said it was only available at comic con though.

Yup and Yup.

I was checking out the cover sig and noted the "Black and White Special Edition" and the "Comic Con" in the right corner. Honestly, I hadn't noticed that when I first looked at it.

I will make sure to put everyone in on this one who has posted in here, but be forewarned, whoever does win it better lock it up. I may just don a black jumpsuit, black beanie and some sweet black nikes and make sure it makes its way to its rightful owner (me, of course).

I kid. :)

You guys!

Well, I don't actually have a black robbing jumpsuit so I may have to look into procuring one for any future black ops I may need to partake in. I mean, I should have got one a long time ago. What's my hold up?

Hell, we could start a new fundraiser if Hannah's dressing up for us.
